About Us
At Oracycle, we believe in taking responsibility for the plastic waste generated by our everyday choices, starting with oral care products. Every year, billions of toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes contribute to plastic pollution in landfills and oceans. Oracycle is India’s first oral care recycling program, designed to tackle this growing problem.
We are on a mission to reduce the environmental impact of dental care by recycling used toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, and other oral care products. Our goal is to turn these discarded items into valuable resources like footpath pavers, while also promoting eco-friendly alternatives like biodegradable toothbrushes.
Dr. Bharath Kumar Garla
A distinguished dentist with over 25 years of experience, Dr. Bharath Kumar Garla is the visionary behind Oracycle. His deep passion for both dental health and environmental sustainability led him to take action against the growing problem of plastic pollution from oral care products.
Dr. Bharath’s journey with Oracycle began when a simple question from his son made him reflect on the toothbrushes discarded every day, polluting our planet. Determined to make a change, he launched Oracycle, India’s first oral care recycling program. Combining his expertise in dental care with a mission to protect the environment, Dr. Bharath is leading the charge in transforming the way we think about and dispose of oral care plastics, one toothbrush at a time.
Replace your old toothbrush and dispose of it at an Oracycle recycling station.
The brushes are sent to a recycling center, shredded, and melted into footpath pavers.
